Password
management secures controlled user access to the instrument
With the two-step password concept, you can assign a user-defined password for
the operating system, and a security password for accessing the mass storage of
the instrument.

LAN services
secure controlled network access
You can individually lock and unlock supported LAN interface services. Also you
can activate and deactivate SMB client and SMB server, that use versions 1.0 and
2.0 of the SMB protocol. See
Chapter 11.5.3, "Configuring LAN services"
on page 569.
Remote control via the LAN interface requires that the interface is activated. Once
the interface is activated, enable or disable LAN services as needed.
