to select the gas waveforms to be
displayed.

Gas Module 3 Pre-use Test
Prior to each use, perform the following test with the Gas Module 3 to verify that the gas
analyzer and sample system are functioning properly:
1.
Verify that the appropriate water trap is properly installed and that the appropriate
sampling line is connected.

Neonatal water trap used with DRYLINE

2.
Verify that the water trap container is less than half full.
3.
Occlude the sampling line and verify that the occlusion alarm functions properly.
4.
Breathe into the sampling line and verify that a CO
2
waveform is correctly displayed on
the monitor.
5.
Sample room air for 30 seconds and verify that the monitor oxygen output is 21%
(± sensor inaccuracy).
