can maintain. In linear environments these limits will normally not need to be changed. In
rotary applications, however, it may be convenient to keep absolute position within small bounds
(eg. 0 to 359.99 or –179.99 to 180.00). These limits are used for rotary shortest path index types
to determine shortest path.

SET UP/QUERY
OPERATING MODE
0 – Sets/queries the current mode. (Note the setup command will not be accepted if
mode is set from dip switches.)
1 – Sets the mode to be entered when the alternate mode input is active (example
EM1=4)
2 – Sets the power up mode (if not from dip switches). (See PF command.)
Valid modes are:
0 – pulse/pulse
1 – pulse/dir
2 – analog velocity
3 – analog torque
4 – encoder following (ratio)
5 – analog velocity, encoder time base
