DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAMMING FUNCTIONS
HOME
The HOME types available with PCM-1 are identical to the HOME types available with the
standard drive. A HOME cycle can be executed only after the motor velocity is brought to zero
or before motion has begun.
WAIT FOR INPUT
The WAIT FOR INPUT function allows the user to wait for a change in the input line that has
been assigned the EXTERNAL INPUT function. This function can be executed after a HOME
cycle, after an INDEX, after a PROGRAM, after a DWELL time, and after an OUTPUT
UPDATE.
DWELL TIME
The DWELL TIME function allows the user to create a dwell time (sec) between other program
functions. A dwell time can be added after a HOME cycle, after INDEX, after a PROGRAM,
after a WAIT FOR INPUT, and after an OUTPUT UPDATE.
UPDATE OUTPUTS
The UPDATE OUTPUT function allows the user to change the status of one or all of the 8
output lines. This function is also called 'programmable outputs' and can be executed after a
HOME cycle, after an INDEX, after a PROGRAM, after a WAIT FOR INPUT, and after a
DWELL.
EXECUTE INDEX
The EXECUTE INDEX function is used to initiate the execution of an index. When this
function is used, the index number must also be given.
EXECUTE PROGRAM
The EXECUTE PROGRAM function is used to initiate the execution of a program. When this
function is used, the program number must also be given.
EXECUTE COMPOUND INDEX
This function is used to create compound indexes. The index number given with this function
will be executed before the index number defined in the next program step. For instance, if
index 3 is being compounded into index 8; index 3 will be executed before index 8. Motion will
not be stopped between the execution of both indexes.
END
This function is used to designate the end of a program.
