Since the physical construction of the thumbwheel is based on 10 characters and the different
models are accomplished with spacers, data from the thumbwheels is read into the digital drive
character buffer as follows.

Programming the 32 character drive character buffer is accomplished with serial commands and
PCX.

The red LED indicator on the TW-XXX is provided as a means to tell that data is out of range.
For example, if the 4 digits of a TW-004 were programmed as velocity and the data on the
thumbwheel is greater than 3000 RPM when the ENTER button is pushed, then the LED will
light.

The LED will go out when valid data is entered.
