THUMBWHEEL AND PARALLEL PROGRAMMING SETUP
AND OPERATION
The procedure for setting up thumbwheels and parallel programming is identical with the
exception of the character buffer size. Thumbwheels have 20 digits and parallel programming
has 32. When the parallel option is selected from the PCX drive configuration menu, the
following screen will be displayed.

For either of these options to work, they must be enabled. Neither the thumbwheels or the
numeric display can be used if the parallel interface is enabled.
DATA FIELD NUMBER
There are eight (0-7) unique groupings of digits that may be set up. Each group or field, has a
corresponding "packet" of data associated with it. When a new data field will be displayed and
ready to edit.
