The left two digits of the character buffer represent the Field Function (Data Field 0). The field
function applies only for the digits setup in Data Field 2. In Data Field 1, digits 2-4 represent the
index number that the data in Field 2 is also to use. Data Field 2 is the general purpose field that
is used in conjunction with the other data fields. When the above data is entered as shown, the
index velocity (Field Function 2) of index number 55 will be changed to 1200.
