System Commands

Packet Voice Processor Commands Manual

describes this command’s output parameters.

Table 10-7 INTERFACE <sig-port> [SHOW] Command Output

Command Output

Description

Administrative State

Displays the port’s administrative state.

IS is defined as In-Service, Normal; OOS is defined as Out-of-Service.

Operational State

Displays whether the port is operational (receiving/sending signals).

IS is defined as In-Service, Normal.

MAC Address

The MAC address is a unique value associated with a network adapter. MAC
addresses are also known as hardware addresses or physical addresses. They
uniquely identify an adapter on a LAN.

Configured Speed

Configured Ethernet interface speed (Mbps):
• Auto – Configured as auto-negotiated speed.
• 10, 100, or 1000 – Manually configured as 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps.

Configured Gateway

Configured Gateway address.

Slot 1 Actual Port
Speed

Actual Ethernet interface speed (in Mbps), SCC slot 1.

Slot 1 Actual Port
Duplex

Actual duplex mode for the Ethernet interface, SCC slot 1.

Slot 2 Actual Port
Speed

Actual Ethernet interface speed (in Mbps), SCC slot 2.

Slot 2 Actual Port
Duplex

Actual duplex mode for the Ethernet interface, SCC slot 2.

Actual Gateway

Actual Gateway address.

Next Hop Device IP
(for link redundancy)

This is the IP address of a third-party device connected to the OOB (out-of-
band) signaling interface on the Packet Voice Processor’s Switch Control card.

This third-party device can be a Session Border Controller (SBC), a SIP proxy
agent, or a router that supports VRRP or HSRP redundancy.

This third-party device must be in the same subnet as the OOB (out-of-band)
signaling interface on the Packet Voice Processor, where the Packet Voice
Processor immediately receives and sends the SIP signaling packets from and
to.

TOS Byte

The TOS Byte is a 3 digit number entered to indicate the quality of service for
data transmission of the packets.
