Packet Voice Processor Commands Manual
Note The process for connecting to the management port is described in Section 2.2,
“Connecting to the PVP”, on page 23 .
Table 3-2 describes the process for provisioning a management port on the Switch
Control card.
INTERFACE <mgmt-port> ARP [SHOW] Shows the ARP cache on management interface.
The required minimum access level is READ for this
command. For additional information, see
Section 10.3.6 on page 120 .

Step Task Description
1 Access the Packet Voice Processor
system. Establish a connection to the active Switch Control
card.
The process for connecting to the management port
is described in
Section 2.2, “Connecting to the PVP”,
on page 23 .
2 Enter the INTERFACE [SHOW]
command. Enter this command to view the factory created
management port name, as well as its current status
(in-service or out-of-service).
See Section 10.2.1 on page 115 for additional
command information.
3 Enter the INTERFACE <mgmt-port>
[SHOW] command. Enter this command to view the current
management port’s configuration. Most of the
displayed parameter values will be set to 0.
See Section 10.3.1 on page 116 for additional
command information.
4 Enter the INTERFACE <mgmt-port> SET
command. Enter this command to begin provisioning the
management port parameters.
See Section 10.3.2 on page 117 for additional
command information.
5 Enter the Administrative State. Enter the administrative state for the system
management port. Options include: IS (In-Service)
or OOS (Out-of-Service).
6 Enter the Configured IP address. Enter the IP address for the system management
port or press the <ENTER> key to accept a default
setting.
7 Enter the Configured Mask address. Enter the configured Mask address for the system
management port or press the <ENTER> key to
accept a default setting.
8 Enter the Configured Gateway address. Enter the configured Gateway address for the
system management port or press the <ENTER>
key to accept a default setting.
9 OK to Use Options:
Yes - Save provisioning
No - Aborts provisioning
Refer back to Table 2-3 on page 28 for additional
instructions on provisioning a complete Packet
Voice Processor system.
