5.3.1 PVP Profile Provisioning Example
Figure 5-2 on page 50 displays a schematic of Packet Voice Processor placement
between 2 SIP proxy servers. SIP Proxy 1 is configured to send Packet Voice
Processor “in-bound” SIP signaling packets. SIP Proxy 2 is configured to receive
Packet Voice Processor “out-bound” SIP signaling packets. Use this figure for
assistance in profile provisioning and profile route provisioning a Packet Voice
Processor system.
Table 5-2 on page 51 describes the profile provisioning procedures. Profile
provisioning is performed using the SIGNALING PROFILE ADD command and
involves setting up the connections between an “ingress” Packet Voice Processor
SIP proxy server (where Packet Voice Processor “in-bound” SIP signaling packets
are sent from) to the IP address and signaling port on the active Switch Control card.
In Figure 5-2 on page 50 , this connection is from SIP Proxy 1 (IP address
10.67.1.112) to the IP address 10.67.1.240 and signaling port number 5060 on the
active Switch Control card of the Packet Voice Processor.
