Packet Voice Processor Commands Manual
9 Provision signaling (Profiles) for the
Packet Voice Processor system. Signal provisioning a Packet Voice Processor
system requires both profile and policy
provisioning.
First, provision the profiles for a Packet Voice
Processor system.
Refer to Section 5.3, “Profile Provisioning
Commands”, on page 48 for additional information.
Table 5-1, “Profile Provisioning Commands”, on
page 48
lists the commands required for this
procedure.
10 Provision signaling (Policies) for the
Packet Voice Processor system.
Note that this step also provisions
transcoding for a Packet Voice Processor
system.
Signal provisioning a Packet Voice Processor
system requires both profile and policy
provisioning.
Provision the policies for a Packet Voice Processor
system.
Refer to Section 5.4, “Policy Provisioning”, on
page 55 for additional information.
Table 5-6, “Policy Commands”, on page 56 lists
the commands required for this procedure.
11 Provision the Link Aggregation Groups
(LAG) for the Packet Voice Processor
media (bearer) traffic. Provision the Link Aggregation Groups consisting
of logical groupings of Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Refer to Section 6.1, “Overview”, on page 59 for
additional information.
Table 6-3, “Link Aggregation Group Commands”,
on page 64
lists the commands required for this
procedure.
12 If applicable, provision the DNS server for
the Packet Voice Processor system. If the Packet Voice Processor is being installed in
a network that has access to and is configured for
a DNS server, provision the Packet Voice
Processor to recognize the DNS server address.
Note: The DNS command is only applicable for
system management.
Refer to Section 10.14, “DNS Command”, on
page 180 for additional information.
13 If applicable, provision a timing source for
the Packet Voice Processor system. If the Packet Voice Processor is being installed in
a network that has access to and is configured for
a NTP server (or NTP servers), provision the
Packet Voice Processor to recognize the NTP
server address (or NTP addresses).
Refer to Section 10.15, “NTP Command”, on
page 181 for additional information.
Note: The NTP command is only applicable for
system management.
If the Packet Voice Processor is being installed in
a network that does not have access to a NTP
server, provision a time for the Packet Voice
Processor .
Refer to Section 9.4, “TIME Command”, on
page 94 for additional information.
14 Provision security for the Packet Voice
Processor system. Provision passwords and user names for the
Packet Voice Processor system. Refer to
Chapter 7 on page 77 for additional information.
