Chapter 6: Media Provisioning

6.1 Overview

This chapter discusses the Packet Voice Processor

media transport requirements

and how to provision a Packet Voice Processor system to meet these requirements.

The Packet Voice Processor supports both SIP signaling and RTP/RTCP media

streams between a caller and callee (

Figure 6-1

). The Packet Voice Processor uses

Link Aggregation Groups (LAGs) and LACP to increase the media stream capacity

and for redundancy purposes.
