10.2   INTERFACE 
Commands

The 

INTERFACE

 commands allow the user to configure all external physical and 

logical Packet Voice Processor network interfaces. Additionally, Packet Voice 

Processor network interface information and statistics are accessible using this 

command. 

Table 10-2

 describes the different Packet Voice Processor system 

interface types.

The

 commands for the Packet Voice Processor 10/100 Ethernet 

management ports are as follows:

Packet Voice Processor Interface

Description

10/100 Ethernet Management Interface

The 10/100 Ethernet Management Interface (Mgmt/I/O) is a 
physical port located on the Packet Voice Processor shelf 
backplane. This port provides access to both Switch Control 
cards (active and standby).

OOB (Out-of-Band) Signaling Interface

The OOB (Out-of-Band) Signaling Interface (Sig/O) is a 
physical port located on the Switch Control cards and 
provides a dedicated channel for Packet Voice Processor 
system signaling.

Gigabit Ethernet Media Interfaces

The Gigabit Ethernet Media Interfaces (GigE/<slot>/<port>) 
are physical ports located on the Interface Processing cards. 
These ports provide access for the Packet Voice Processor 
system to and from other networks.
