Signaling Provisioning

Packet Voice Processor Commands Manual

Note

Multiple IP addresses can be created for a single signaling port located on the Packet
Voice Processor. Additionally, multiple IP addresses can also be created for multiple
signaling ports located on the Packet Voice Processor. Refer to

Section 10.4.4 on

page 123

for the command used to created the IP signaling addresses.

In the figure, the following Packet Voice Processor IP addresses have been

configured to accept packets from the following SIP proxy servers, after which the

following profiles are applied:

IP Signaling Address - 10.67.1.240 (Port 5060) accepts packets from SIP

Proxy 192.168.0.10 and applies SigProfile01

IP Signaling Address - 10.67.1.240 (Port 5070) accepts packets from SIP

Proxy 192.168.0.11 and applies SigProfile02

IP Signaling Address - 10.67.1.280 (Port 5060) accepts packets from SIP

Proxy 192.168.0.12 and applies SigProfile03

Using the signaling policy commands (see

Table 5-6, “Policy Commands”, on

page 56

), individual policies are created that apply specific transcoding procedures

to the IP packet streams from these IP addresses. Additionally, specific VQA profiles

(see

Table 4-1, “Voice Quality Provisioning Commands”, on page 43

) are enabled to

apply specific voice quality enhancement procedures to these IP packet streams.

The following signaling profiles apply the following signaling policies and VQA

profiles to the IP packet streams in

Figure 5-1

SigProfile01 applies SigPolicy01 and VQA1

SigProfile02 applies SigPolicy02 and VQA2

SigProfile03 applies SigPolicy03 and VQA3
