Chapter 10: System Commands
10.1 Overview For normal operation, the cards in a Packet Voice Processor
TM
system must be
provisioned. The System commands are used to provision the cards in a Packet
Voice Processor system. Table 10-1 lists and describes the different System
Commands.
Note Commands available and displayed to the user are dependent upon that user’s
security access level. For information about user security access levels and available
commands, see
Chapter 18, Security Commands, on page 383 .
Table 10-1 System Commands
Command Description
INTERFACE Command that allows the user to set or display all external physical and logical Packet
Voice Processor network interfaces. The following ports and settings can be displayed
and provisioned:
Management Port - see Section 10.3 on page 116 and Section 3.2 on page 35
Signaling Port - see Section 10.4 on page 121 and Section 3.3 on page 37
Media Port - see Section 10.5 on page 130 and Section 3.4 on page 40
LAG Command that displays or sets the Link Aggregation Group or Groups (see
Section 10.6 on page 135 ).
CARDS Command that displays or sets the Packet Voice Processor cards expected status (see
Section 10.7 on page 153 ).
SYSTEM Command used to view or set the Packet Voice Processor system information (see
Section 10.8 on page 159 ).
CRAFT Command used to display the serial port settings (see Section 10.9 on page 168 ).
ALARMSEV Command that allows the user to set or display alarm severities (see Section 10.10 on
page 169 ).
SNMP Command that displays or provisions SNMP traps and/or community strings (see
Section 10.11 on page 172 ).
AUTOMSG Command that displays or provisions the autonomous message mode (see
Section 10.12 on page 174 ).
FPKG Command that displays or sets active feature package (see Section 10.13 on
page 177 ).
DNS Command that displays or sets the DNS server configuration (see Section 10.14 on
page 180 ).
NTP Command that displays or sets the NTP server configuration (see Section 10.15 on
page 181 ).
