V8.5
2.5.4 Program/Preview on Multi-View
The Preview and Program outputs are monitored on the Multi-View, as shown below.
The orange outlined monitor is the Preview output and the red outlined monitor is the
Program output. Although there are 4 types of outputs that can be monitored
(ME 1 Program, ME 1 Preview, ME 2 Program and ME 2 Preview), only 2 output
monitors can be seen on the Broadcast Pix Multi-View. Depending on your show needs,
you may configure the Multi-View to monitor the appropriate Mix/Effect bus, and if all four
outputs are desired external monitors are necessary to view the other M/E.
A recommended configuration is monitoring ME 1 Program and ME 1 Preview on the
Broadcast Pix Multi-View, and use external monitors out of the Slate/Router outputs to
monitor ME 2 Program and ME 2 Preview. If this is the case, then ME 1 Preview needs
to be selected as an output in the Slate IO Assignments window, as described in section
1.4 and the correct 2 ME Bus Mode needs to active, as described in section 1.12.
To monitor a different ME bus:
1.
Right-Click
on the Preview or Program Monitor, and a
pop-up menu will appear.
2.
At the bottom of the pop-menu select
ME1 Preview
(if
the Preview Monitor was selected) or
ME1 Program
(if
the Program Monitor was selected). A checkmark will
appear to indicate that ME 1 is now being monitored on
that particular window, as shown on the right.
If ME1 Preview is not selected as an output in the Slate
IO Assignments window, a pop-up error will appear
stating that ME1 Preview needs to be assigned as an
output.
3.
To return to monitoring ME 2 Program/Preview, repeat
steps 1-2.
