4.4 Keys
The Broadcast Pix Slate system combines multiple layers that can include a background
video image and up to six overlays, each of which is known as a key. Each keyer can be
assigned a graphic, such as a CG, Still or Logo, or a DVE box (Picture-in-Picture) which
can hold a camera, clip or any other source including ME 1 Program.
One key can hold a Chromakey/Luma Key, and as an option a total of 8 sources can
have Chromakey/Luma keys controls.
On a Slate 5000G, all six keyers are universal, meaning that they are shared across
both M/Es. As a user, you decide what keyers and how many to use in each M/E.
