To import/remount existing media drives:
1.
Turn On
the workstation, with the front
rocker switch.
2.
Once the desktop appears navigate to
the
Start Menu
and right-click
on
My Computer.
3.
In the pop-up menu, select
Manage,
as shown on the right.
4.
In the Computer Management window,
click on the
Disk Management
icon,
under the Storage section in the
left hand section, as shown on the right.
5.
Right-click on a
Foreign Dynamic Disk
,
in the right hand section. Either Disk 0 or Disk 1.
6.
In the pop up menu, select
Import Foreign
Disks…,
as shown on the right. This will
pop up the Import Foreign Disks window.
7.
Ensure that a check mark is next to
the Foreign disk group and click on
OK.
8.
In the Foreign Disk Volumes Window, click on
OK.
The import process may take up to a minute.
The process is complete after the drives in the
Disk Management section turn to aqua and
report a healthy status, as shown on the right.
9.
Close the Computer Management window
by clicking on the Red X in the top right corner.
to close the window. You are now ready to
use your hard drives.
NOTE
: When importing foreign disks, any shared networking that had been previously done to the drive
will no longer be visible. You will need to reset any network settings on the Video D drive.
