Broadcast Pix
V8.5
1.11
1.11 DualAspect
As described in section 1.10.3 Broadcast Pix Slate switchers come standard with
selectable 4:3 or 16:9 video aspect ratios. On HD Slate systems with 2 HD cards,
Broadcast Pix can output both 4:3 and 16:9 video aspects simultaneously. This is ideal
when you need to simulcast to two different mediums, i.e. TV broadcast and Internet
or Image Magnification (IMAG) and TV broadcast.
DualAspect uses both output D and output E on HD systems. You can select your
output in the
Slate IO Assignments
menu, as described below. Be sure to add an
aspect treatment to each input as well to each content element to ensure proper
output, as described in section 1.4.1.
To enable DualAspect:
1.
In BPswitcher select
Setup
and from the drop down menu select
Slate IO assignments…
and the Slate IO Assignments window will appear.
2. Under the pink output section select the desired aspect ratios for both output D
and output E under the
Aspect
drop down menu, as shown, either
16:9
or
4:3.
3. Under the
Correction
drop down menu select the desired output treatment,
either
None,
Box, 14x9
or
Crop.
The common setting used in most applications
is Crop.
4. Click on
Apply
to activate your selection.
5. Click on
Save
to save and close the Slate IO Assignments window. You are
now outputting both a 4:3 (cropped) and a 16:9 show.
