1.10.2 Selecting between NTSC/525 and PAL/625 Formats
Systems generally come from the factory set up for the local standard of the country,
such as NTSC in most of the Americas and Japan and PAL/625 in Europe and other
countries. NTSC uses a pixel size of 720x486, with 525 lines and 30 (29.97) frames
per second. PAL uses a pixel size of 720x576, with 625 lines and 25 frames per
second.
To change between NTSC to PAL:
1.
In BPswitcher, click on
Setup
and a
drop down window will appear, then select
System Settings…
as shown on the right.
The System Settings window will appear,
as shown below.

In System Settings window, click on the
Video
Tab, which will bring up the
various video settings.
3.
Select either the
NTSC
or
PAL/625
radio button under the Video
Standard section.
A status message will appear, asking
to restart the application.
4.
Click on the
OK
button.
This will close the System Settings
window.
5.
Close the BPswitcher application by
selecting the
File
menu then
Quit.
If a Router is powered, unplug the
Router and plug it in again to reset
the video standard.
6.
Restart the application by double-clicking
the Broadcast Pix Switcher on the
desktop.
To switch back the video standard,
repeat steps 1-6.
