CONTROLS
INSTALLATION
Apply marine grease to the click spring roller.
Install the assist spring [1] and click spring [2] to the
crankcase.
Loosely tighten the bolt (6 x 14 mm) [3].
After adjusting the shift control cable, tighten the bolt.
Apply marine grease to the link rod insertion part and
click part of the shift arm.
Install the shift arm [1] and washer (6 mm) [2] to shift
shaft B and tighten the bolt (6 x 16 mm) [3].
Apply marine grease to the slider collar [4] outer
surface.
Install the slider collar and arm bush [5] to the link rod
[6].
Install the link rod to the shift arm and set the washer (6
mm) [7] and snap pin [8].
Make sure the assist spring [1] tip pushes the neutral
switch [2].
Make sure the click spring roller [3] is in the shift arm
groove [4], and then tighten the bolt (6 x 14 mm) [5].
If the shift arm groove and the click spring roller do not
fit, loosen the bolt, fit them, and tighten the bolt again.
Inspect and adjust the shift control cable (page 20-10).
SHIFT CONTROL CABLE INSPECTION/
ADJUSTMENT
Remove the electric parts case (page 10-4).
Move the remote control lever to the "N" (Neutral)
position.
Remove the shift control cable (page 20-3).
Loosen the bolt (6 x 14 mm) [1].
