ENGINE COVER/COVER LOCK
Apply marine grease to the R. lock arm [1] cable end
insertion part.
Insert the cable end (A side) [2] of cover locking cable A
into the R. lock arm.
Install cover locking cable A so that the cable aligns
with the groove of the R. cover bracket [3], and tighten
the washer side nut [4] to the specified torque.
Insert the cable end (B side) [1] of cover locking cable A
into the L. lock arm [2].
Install cover locking cable A so that the cable aligns
with the groove of the L. cover bracket [3], and tighten
the washer side nut [4] to the specified torque.
There should be 1.5 mm (0.06 in) of clearance between
the hole of the L. lock arm [1] and the cable end [2].
Readjust the nut position of the L. cover bracket side if
the clearance is out of specification.
Install the L./R. engine under cover (page 6-3).
TORQUE: 3.5 N·m (0.36 kgf·m, 2.6 lbf·ft)
