OTHER ELECTRICAL

MAIN/STARTER RELAY INSPECTION

Remove the relay from the fuse/relay junction box

(page 10-10).
Connect the ohmmeter to the relay terminal C [1] and

terminal D [2].
Connect the battery positive (+) cable to the relay

terminal A [3] and battery negative (–) cable to terminal

B [4].
There should be continuity while the battery is

connected to the relay terminals, and there should be

no continuity while the battery is disconnected.

FUEL PUMP RELAY INSPECTION

Remove the fuel pump relay from the fuse/relay

junction box (page 10-10).
Connect the ohmmeter to the fuel pump relay terminal

C [1] and terminal D [2].
Connect the battery positive (+) cable to the fuel pump

relay terminal A [3] and battery negative (–) cable to

terminal B [4].
• When connecting the fuel pump relay terminals, do

not interchange the battery positive (+) cable and

battery negative (–) cable.

There should be continuity while the battery is

connected to the relay terminals, and there should be

no continuity while the battery is disconnected.
