COOLING SYSTEM

THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/

INSTALLATION

R. SIDE

Remove the cooling fan cover (page 5-68).
Remove the water relief tube [1] and two tube clamps

D29.0 [2] from the thermostat cover [3] and R. exhaust

manifold [4].
Remove the bolt (6 x 35 mm) [5], two bolts (6 x 60 mm)

[6], thermostat cover and thermostat [7] from the

engine.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

After installation, check the tube and tube clamps for

correct installation (page 2-34).

L. SIDE

Remove the cooling fan cover (page 5-68).
Remove the water relief tube [1] and two tube clamps

D29.0 [2] from the thermostat cover [3] and L. exhaust

manifold [4].
Remove the three bolts (6 x 60 mm) [5], thermostat

cover, and thermostat [6].
Remove the thermostat spacer [7] and O-ring [8] from

the engine.

Replace the O-ring with a new one.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

• After installation, check the tube and tube clamps for

correct installation (page 2-34).
