GEAR CASE (COUNTER ROTATION)
Apply gear oil to the taper roller bearing insertion part of
the vertical shaft [1].
Set the vertical shaft on the hydraulic press with the
pinion gear [2] side facing up as shown.
Install the taper roller bearing (32 x 66 x 49 mm) [3] on
the vertical shaft using the hydraulic press.
• Check that the taper roller bearing inner race is set
on the hydraulic press table securely.
• Do not damage the threads at the end of the vertical
shaft (pinion gear nut [4] installation part).
After installation, turn the outer race ten to twenty turns
and check that the bearing turns smoothly.
Remove the pinion gear nut and the pinion gear from
the vertical shaft.
Install the oil slinger [1] on the vertical shaft [2] by
aligning the projection [3] on the inside of the oil slinger
with the recess [4] on the pinion gear installation side of
the vertical shaft.
