GEAR CASE (STANDARD ROTATION)
Apply gear oil to the outer circumference of a new
needle bearing [1].
Install the needle bearing (30.5 x 47 x 37 mm) in the
gear case [2] using the special tools, until it is fully
seated.
• Install the needle bearing with the stamped end
facing down (toward the pinion gear side) or severe
gear case damage will occur.
After installation, check that the bottom surface of the
needle bearing is above the groove [6] of the gear case.
Install a new internal circlip [1] using suitable
commercially available pliers [2] as shown.
• Install the internal circlip with the sharp side facing
the pinion gear side.
• Check that the internal circlip is seated in the gear
case groove.
• Avoid the internal circlip damage during installation
(Do not close the pliers nose narrower than 9.0 mm
(0.35 in)).

should be 80.0 mm
