FUEL SYSTEM

VTEC SPOOL SOLENOID VALVE 

INSPECTION

SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION

 • When checking  the operation of the VTEC system,

perform VTEC system inspection (page 14-37).

Remove the ECM (page 10-5).
Disconnect the VTEC solenoid valve 1P connector [1].
Measure the resistance between the 1P connector

terminal and body ground.

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the VTEC

solenoid valve (page 5-101).

IAC VALVE INSPECTION

Turn the combination switch OFF and disconnect the

IAC valve 2P connector.
Measure the resistance between the IAC valve side

No.1 terminal and No.2 terminal of the IAC valve 2P

connector [1].

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the IAC

valve (page 5-99).

Resistance:14.25 – 15.75
