COOLING SYSTEM
Set the special key [1] to the groove [2] in the vertical
shaft [3].
Install the pump impeller [4], aligning the key groove [5]
in the pump impeller with the special key.
Set the impeller housing [6] on the vertical shaft.
Install the impeller housing while turning the vertical
shaft clockwise.
• Be sure to turn the vertical shaft clockwise.
Install the four distance collars [1] on the impeller
housing [2] and tighten the four impeller housing bolt/
washers (8 x 60 mm) [3] to the specified torque.
After tightening the four bolts, tighten the bolt (6 x 16
mm) [4].
Apply marine grease to the inner wall of the water tube
seal ring [5].
Install the water tube seal ring by aligning the projection
[6] with the hole [7] in the housing.
Perform the gear case pressure check after assembly:
– Standard rotation type (page 16-45)
– Counter rotation type (page 17-42)
Install the following:
Standard rotation type
– Gear case (page 16-9)
– Propeller (page 16-6)
Counter rotation type
– Gear case (page 17-7)
– Propeller (page 17-5)

TORQUE: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)
