ICS-2000 Ion Chromatography System

3-20

Doc. 031857-03 4/06

1. Complete the steps in Sections

3.2

 through

3.8

 to prepare for

operation and to start up the ICS-2000.

2. Create a new sequence or modify an existing one.

To create a new sequence:

a.

In the Browser, select

File>New

.

Select

Sequence (using

Wizard)

 and click

OK

b. Complete the steps in the Sequence Wizard, adding the desired

number of samples and standards to the list. For help with any of
the steps, click the

Help

button on the Sequence Wizard page.

NOTE A simple way to get started is to select the “Use

Application Template” option in Step 4 of the
Sequence Wizard. This option lets you select a
column and suppressor type from a list of
applications. The Wizard then copies a program
and quantification method, appropriate for the
selected application, to the sequence folder and adds
them to the sequence definition.

3. To start the sample processing, make sure the System Control panel is

open (see

Section 3.3

) and is the active window. Then, select

Batch>Edit

. The Batch dialog box opens (see

Figure 3-13

).
