On Dual-band ZoneFlex APs
On dual-band ZoneFlex APs, mesh networking is enabled only on the 5 GHz radio. Refer
to the following sections for information on how to check these dual-band APs for their
mesh status.
Outdoor ZoneFlex APs
On outdoor ZoneFlex APs, the STATUS LED indicates the AP's mesh status. See the
table below for more information.
Description
LED Color/Behavior
• This is a Root AP or eMAP, or;
• This is a Mesh AP and is connected to
a Root AP with good signal
Solid Green
• This is a Mesh AP, and;
• The Root AP signal is fair
Fast blinking green
• This is a Mesh AP that is currently
searching for a Root AP, or;
• This AP is currently searching for
ZoneDirector
Slow blinking green
Indoor Dual Band APs
On dual band ZoneFlex indoor APs, the 5G LED indicates the status of the Mesh
downlink, and the AIR LED indicates the mesh status of the Mesh uplink. See the table
below for more information.
