Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 module
fundamentals

The Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 modules provide a full complement
of core routing and switching capabilities. Use this section to help you
understand and use each interface module.

The Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 supports Power Management,
which allocates priority among installed modules. For more information
about Power Management, see Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 8600
Administration, NN46205-600.

For the minimum Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 software versions required
to support the hardware described in this document, see Nortel Ethernet
