Connecting a network management station to the SF/CPU

station for out-of-band management using a Web browser or Device
Manager.

Step

Connect an Ethernet cable to the network management station.

For 10 Mbps connections, you can use Category 3, 4, or 5
copper unshielded twisted pair (Ethernet) cable. Use only
Category 5 UTP cable to connect ports that operate at 100
Mbps.

Connect the other end of the cable to the RJ-45 jack on the 8691
SF/CPU or 8692 SF/CPU module.
