Nortel recommends that you install only one 10GBASE-ZR/ZW XFP in

one 8683XLR module due to cooling limitations on the 8683XLR and
XZR when using standard fan trays. Nortel further recommends that you
install the XFP only in Port 1. You can install a 10GBASE-SR, -LR/LW, or
-ER/EW in one or both of the remaining ports.

There are no XFP limitations when using high-speed cooling modules.
