4.5 Plate Cleaning and Storage
Due to static electricity, the surfaces of plates tend to easily attract paper powder from
the protective paper and dust and dirt from the air. If printing is carried out with this
soiling still attached, printing problems will occur, and the print head may become
damaged.
Although the printer incorporates a cleaning roller, cleaning may not be possible
depending on the dust and dirt situation. In situations where there are large amounts of
dust or dirt, clean the plates with a soft cloth moistened with water before setting them
in the printer.
(1) Confirm that the plates have no burr around their edges. In the case where there
is burr, do not use the plates.

(2) Clean the plate printing surface. Carefully wipe off dirt or oil (including skin oils)
using a soft cloth moistened with water and tightly wrung. After the plate has
completely dried, set it on the feeding table.
