• Connecting the USB Cable
The printer supports USB 2.0 interfaces.
• In the situation where the printer driver has not been installed in the PC
that is being used, install the printer driver before connecting the USB
cable.
• Note that this printer does not support use in a network environment.
• It is possible to connect and remove the USB cable while the PC and
printer power is on. However, in the following situations correct operation
may not be possible, so connection and removal should not be carried
out.
- While the PC is starting up, or when data processing is being carried
out.
- While printing is being carried out.
- While the printer driver installation is being carried out.
(1) Securely insert the USB cable B Type (square-shaped) plug into the USB
connector on the rear side of the printer.
(2) Insert the USB cable A Type (rectangular) plug into the USB port of the PC.
