Working with Patterns (Controller)
Creating a Pattern is where the fun starts, because the sequencer really is the core of MA-

6.1.1
Pattern Mode
The Pattern mode is where you select your Patterns and apply some basic editing operations to
the selected Pattern. Each Group can have up to 64 Patterns organized into 4 banks.
►
To enter Pattern mode on your controller, press
PATTERN
(you can pin it by pressing
Button 1 at the same time).
→
Your controller switches to Pattern mode. This is indicated by the lit
PATTERN
button.
The hardware displays in Pattern mode.
On the right display, you will see all available Pattern slots of a Pattern Bank (Bank A by de-
fault) represented as a square of 4x4 cells:
▪
Each cell shows the number of the corresponding Pattern slot. If you defined a name for a
Pattern, it will also appear in the cell corresponding to the Pattern slot in which your Pat-
tern is located.
▪
The highlighted cell indicates the selected Pattern slot.
▪
Cells with a solid border represent Pattern slots containing a Pattern, while cells with a
dotted border represent empty Pattern slots.
