Wall-Mounting Mitel 52xx/53xx Phones
The following procedure provides information on mounting the Mitel 52xx/53xx phones on a wall or
on a wall plate. Use Figure 4 as a guide.
To wall-mount the Mitel 52xx/53xx phones:
1. Select a location away from electrical cables, pipes or other items that could cause a hazard
when inserting screws in the wall.
2. Turn the base unit so that the hooks on the flat edge of the base unit bend toward the top edge
of the phone. Hinge the two upper hooks into the top set of notches and snap the two lower
hooks into the middle set of notches on the back of the phone.

Secure the base unit using the two screws provided (found in a separate package with the
phone).
4.
Do one of the following:
•
Mounting on a wall
:
Insert two mounting screws 3 1/4 inches (8.25 cm) apart. Allow about 3/16 of an inch (0.5
cm) between the wall and screw heads for mounting the phone. Use #10 screws 1 to 1.5
inches (2.5 to 4 cm) in length for mounting screws and anchoring devices suitable for the wall.

Mounting on a wall plate
:
a.
Plug the phone cord into the wall jack.
b. Place the base unit on the wall plate post, and then push down until the unit is firmly seated.

CAUTION
Equipment Damage Hazard
: Make sure the wall is capable of supporting the weight of the phone.
For additional security, mount the phone on a plywood backboard.
