The Kahuna has DE-9 connectors with the following pinouts:

3. On the Kahuna switcher’s GUI panel, press the ENG CONFIG button.
The Engineering Config menu appears on the touch screen.
4. Touch the Protocols button on the screen to bring up the Engineering Config – Serial Port Protocols
menu.
5. In the list of RS-422 ports, select the one to which you connected the crossover cable.
6. Set the communications parameters for the selected port as follows, using the rotary controls on the
right of the GUI panel:
7. On the Kahuna switcher’s GUI panel, press the PERIPH button
The Peripherals menu appears.
8. Touch the Tally Control button on the screen to bring up the Peripherals – Tally Protocol menu.
