The Create a New Layout window appears. It lists all the existing rooms and full screen zones in your
system.

3. Click the name of the full screen zone in which this layout will be displayed.
An empty layout area appears.
4. Add at least one widget to the layout. See “Adding Widgets to a Layout” on page 188.
5. Assign every widget a channel. See “Assigning Channels to Widgets” on page 192.
6. On the File menu, click Save. Alternatively, click the Save button on the toolbar.
The Save Layout window appears.
7. Provide a name for the full screen layout.
8. Click Save.
Adding Widgets to a Layout
To add widgets to a layout:
1. Drag components from the widget libraries onto the layout, or create custom components, using the
various widget buttons on the toolbar.
2. Resize, move and configure the widgets until the desired layout is achieved. See “Configuring Video
Widgets” on page 197, “Configuring Audio Meters” on page 209, “Timers” on page 216, “Configuring
UMD Widgets” on page 223, “Displaying XDS Data” on page 226, “Inserting a Clock Logo” on page 227,
“Working with Composite Widgets” on page 229, and “Managing Widget Libraries” on page 239.
All open widget libraries appear on the Tools pane.
Widget Spanning
Graphical widgets (UMD, audiometers, etc.) and video display widgets can be made to span across
multiple heads, on up to 4 monitors, portrait or landscape, in any combination. On screens/monitors that
