Managing Kaleido-X Systems
4
The IP Address window appears.
IP addresses for all the Kaleido-X systems that are on the same subnet as your PC are included in the
list.
3. If your PC and the Kaleido-X you wish to add are on the same subnet, then you can select its IP address
from the list. Otherwise type the appropriate IP address in the box.
The frame is added to the System list.
Note:
The frame type is automatically adjusted based on the actual target system.
4. Repeat from step 2 until you have added all the required frames to the cluster.
5. If further system configuration is required on the individual members of the cluster, start with the
current frame (i.e. the one you are connected to). See “Configuring a System” on page 100, for detailed
instructions on adding cards. Refer to “Routers & Kaleido-X” on page 271, and “Third-Party Devices”
on page 317, for instructions on adding other routing and control devices.
Note:
Each member of a cluster system has its own database where both common information about
the cluster and information local to the frame are stored. Room and layout definitions are
automatically replicated to all cluster members, whereas the configuration for devices connected to a
specific frame is only stored in this frame’s database.
6. Once you have completed the current frame’s specific configuration, save it, and then connect to the
next cluster member you need to configure, by expanding its frame node and double-clicking any of
its cards.
