3.3.5 Overcurrent Relay Test
3.3.5.1 SETUP
To test single-phase overcurrent relays:
1.
Connect the relay to the MTS-1710, as shown in Figure 3.4.
2.
Turn off the MTS-1720, if on and connected.
3.
Select I1-LOW current mode (or I1-HIGH current mode when more than 30A is required).

Display operate time
or current
Press [FAULT] to apply fault current
Select I1-LOW current mode for most tests.
Select I1-HIGH current mode for
instantaneous tests requiring over 30 amps.
