BRAKES

[2] PARKING  BRAKE

Parking brakes are a wet disc brake, which is

independent of the travelling brakes and provided on the
bevel gear shaft (5).  When the parking brake lever is
pulled, the parking brake cam (3) is moved in the
direction of arrow through the parking brake linkage.

As the parking brake cam (3) moves, the steel plate

(1) are pressed by the brake pads (2) and (6), causing
frictional force.  This frictional force provides braking
effect.
