Avionics VOR/ILS (Option 302)
Using VOR [VHF Omnidirectional Range] Softkeys

Set the VOR bearing direction as From or To.
a.
Press Direction
(Default selection is From.)

(Optional) Select either From | To

Set the frequency of the reference signal (REF Freq)
and variable phase signal (VAR Freq).

Press Return

Press REF/VAR
c.
Press REF/VAR Freq
(Default value is 30 Hz.)
d.
(Optional) Select a <value> from 10 to 60 Hz.
6.
Set the amount of FM deviation that the 30 Hz reference signal (REF Freq)
applies on the sub-carrier.
a.
Press REF Deviation
(Default value is 480 Hz.)
b.
(Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 1 kHz.
7.
Set the AM depth of the variable phase signal (VAR Freq).
a.
Press VAR Depth
(Default value is 30%.)
b.
(Optional) Select a <value> from 0 to 49.9% and press Enter.

Set the frequency of the sub-carrier signal.
a.
Press SubCarrier Freq
(Default value is 9960 Hz.)
b.
(Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 20 kHz.

Set the sub-carrier AM depth that modulates the VOR carrier.

Press SubCarrier Depth
(Default value is 30%.)

(Optional) Select a <value> from 0 to 49.9% and press Enter.
10.
Set the VOR mode to produce a full VOR signal.
a.
Press Aux Fctn > Avionics > VOR
b.
Press VOR Mode
(Default selection is OFF.)
c.
Select NORM to turn on all VOR signals so that a standard VOR
signal is generated with a default VOR Bearing of zero degrees.
