Additional 2-wire smoke detectors must be connected in parallel as shown above. The
maximum number of smoke detectors on a 2-wire loop is 18.
Note:
Do not combine smoke detector models from different manufacturers on the same
circuit. Operation may be impaired. Refer to the smoke detector installation sheet when
positioning detectors.
