the two memory ports.

Memory mirroring
Memory mirroring is supported by the x455 for increased fault tolerance and high
levels of availability.
Key configuration rules relating to memory mirroring are:
Memory mirroring must be enabled in the System Setup in the EFI (it is
disabled by default). See “Enabling memory mirroring” on page 118.
Enabling memory mirroring halves the amount of memory available to the
operating system.
