In addition, an 8-way configuration can also be connected to a single RXE-100
that only has six PCI-X slots installed, not 12. In this configuration, the data and
management cable from the secondary node are not connected.
Two standalone servers connecting to one shared RXE-100
This configuration is very similar to the two-node configuration shown in
Figure 3-10 on page 74, except that the cable between the x455s is not present.
Each independent server “sees” six slots in the RXE-100.

Four-nodes connecting to one or two RXE-100s
In a four node configuration, one or two RXE-100s can be connected. If you have
one RXE-100, you can connect it to either nodes 1 and 2, or nodes 3 and 4.
Connectivity of two RXE-100 enclosures is shown in Figure 3-12 on page 76.
One RXE-100 is shared by nodes 1 and 2, and the second RXE-100 is shared by
nodes 3 and 4.
