Backing up and restoring EFI boot options
It is important to back up the EFI options so that in the event that the EFI
information is lost it can be restored. The backup can reside on the ESP for easy
access but should also be backed up again as part of the normal backup
schedule.
To back up the EFI boot options follow the steps below:
1. From the EFI Firmware Boot Manager select EFI Shell [Built-in].
2. Change to the file system where you want to save the file, for example, fs5:.
3. Run the command
backup <filename>
, where <filename> is a valid filename.
A screen similar to the following will be displayed.
