Originally announced in 1996, the IBM ServerProven Program enhances the
position of xSeries servers as one of the most open server systems on the
market today. The program establishes a relationship between IBM and leading
vendors of options and applications often selected for installation into xSeries
servers.
The program is designed to:
Test leading vendors' products for compatibility with xSeries servers.
Improve ease of installation.
Reduce total cost-of-ownership.
IBM ServerProven Program participants agree to work closely with IBM
engineers during product test cycles and over product life cycles. This means
that the IBM ServerProven Program is a commitment to resolve problems before
they get to you.
