COOLANT LEVEL CHECK
Check level (1) in right-hand radiator when engine is cold
(place the motorcycle so that it is perpendicular to the
ground). The coolant should be approximately 10 mm
above cells and besides, it shall not exceed the middle
of the expansion tank (2) located in front of the rear
shock absorber.
The radiator cap (3) features two locking positions, the
first being for the previous pressure discharge of the cool-
ing system.
CAUTION *:
Avoid removing radiator cap (3) when
engine is hot, as coolant may spout out
and cause scalding.
CAUTION *:
Because the cooling fan (4) can be acti -
vated even when the start switch is in
OFF position, always keep at a safe dis -
tance from the fan blades.
Note
*:
Difficulties may arise in eliminating coolant from painted
surfaces. If this occurs, wash off with water.
