5.2 COOLING FAN MOTOR
The cooling fan motor is installed on the back of
the radiator under the hood.

OPERATION
The cooling fan motor is operated and stopped ac-
cording to the preset coolant temperature. •

Coolant temperature over
80˚C (176˚F)
FAN MOTOR stopped
Coolant temperature
below 75˚C (167˚F)
FAN MOTOR TEST
1. Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position and
disconnect the electric motor connector.
2. Connect the terminal (1) to the positive battery ter-
minal and the terminal (2) to the negative battery
terminal using a jump leads.
3. If the fan motor does not operate, replace it with a
new one.
